This pipevine swallowtail showed off his gorgeous color contrast on the echinacea just long enough for me to get my phone out. Then, he got shy.

This is why I don’t have any dill or parsley but I do have lots of swallowtail butterflies.

Several years ago, I planted cypress vine seeds on either side of my front stoop. It has reseeded itself every year and hummingbirds love it.
It seriously wants to take over.
