I’ve decided I like using ‘feral’ rather than ‘volunteer.’

There’s a spot off the patio that has been getting pansies and violas every Fall. Last year’s collection didn’t do much. They didn’t die completely. But, they weren’t particularly enthusiastic. I need to get some good mulch in there and let them have good soil this year. I like having a little color out there in Winter.
