

Their fondness for lily buds is the main reason I loathe deer. This patch is a little more than 3′ in diameter and the stems grow taller than my 5’5″ self. In July, it’s usually covered in butterflies, especially tiger swallowtails.
Three new housing developments have been built between town and us in the last 3 years, displacing the wildlife that lived in those woods. And they have come to feast on our gardens.
